In a game that featured 11 ties and 9 lead changes the Fergus Falls boys basketball team pulled out a 72-71 Central Lakes Conference win at Sartell on Tuesday night.
Matthew Johnson led the Otters with 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Johnson scored 17 points in the second half and scored the winning points on a breakaway layup after the Otters forced a turnover.
Nic Pearson contributed 13 points, including a corner 3 with thirty seconds remaining in the game to cut the Sartell lead to one point. Dominic Aguilar scored 11 points and distributed 4 assists. Ethan Olson added 8 points and Cody Norgren grabbed 5 rebounds.
Sartell was led by Thomas Gieske with 26 points and 21 rebounds. Luke Tillotson had 21.
The Otters will host Rocori on Friday night as part of a girl/boy double header at Kennedy Secondary School.
