Leaders for the Comets were Micah Foss (18 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals), Thomas Zwiers (14 points, 7 rebounds), Sander Frustol (11 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists) and Logan Disabella (10 poinits, 3 rebounds). Gabriel Prestondistributed 6 assists and Nick Foss came up with 3 steals.
“This was maybe one of our most consistent games from start to finish,” said Hillcrest Head Coach Gregg Preston. “Our guards and posts defended extremely well and gave up few easy and open looks. In addition to a very good defensive game, our passing, cutting and patience on offense was outstanding.”
Micah Foss broke open a very close game burying 4 three-pointers and scoring 16 second-half points. Foss made 7-of-9 field goal attempts and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. Zwiers was 6-for-10 from the field.
Hillcrest (5-3) will play a Little Eight Conference game at Rothsay on Friday night
