Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley led 28-18 at the half and posted a 55-36 win over the Battle Lake girls basketball team on Tuesday night in Graceville.

“We had another tough go of it tonight in Graceville,” commented Head Coach David Marso.  “We played a pretty close first half, but late in the period, we made some mental errors and let them pull ahead by double digits.  We needed a good start of the second half, but didn't get it and quickly fell behind by 16 points before we could even score.  We never really recovered.”

Allison Marso led Battle Lake with 20 points, but the Battlers failed to get anyone else into double digits.  Grace VanErp added 9, including three behind the arc.  The Wolverines had some nice balance to their attack with Tylaina Issendorfleading them with 16 points. Lora Botker also added 14 points.

“It has been a tough go this season, but we hope to get things on track this Friday when we resume conference play with a rematch with the Ashby Arrows,” said Marso.
