Viking Girls Dominate Wolverines

The Pelican Rapids girls basketball team recorded their fifth consecutive victory on Tuesday night as they held Wadena-Deer Creek to just fourteen points in each half on the way to a 65-28 win in Wadena.

Adriana Torres (19 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals) and Kaylie Isaman (14 points, 3 assists, 2 steals) were both in double figures for the Vikings.  Sarah Thompson added 9 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists.  Anna Stephenson finished with 4 rebounds and 2 steals, while Maddie Guler distributed 4 assists on the night.

The Vikings forced 21 turnovers in the game and had only 10 turnovers.

Pelican Rapids (10-1) will host Frazee on Thursday night, play at Breckenridge on Friday night and face Battle Lake at Concordia College in Moorhead on Saturday night.
