Otters Shoot Over 60% in Win Over Apollo

The Fergus Falls boys basketball made over 60% of their field goal attempts on Tuesday night as they posted an 87-64 victory over St. Cloud Apollo on the Otters home floor.  Fergus Falls led 45-30 at the half and held a 25 point lead late in the game.  The win puts the Otters at 6-5 on the season and 4-2 in the Central Lakes Conference.

Matthew Johnsonscored a game high 27 points and Dominic Aguilar added 20.  Ashwin Stratton was the third Otter to reach double digits, contributing twelve points.  Johnson dished out six assists and Parker Jacobsdistributed 4 assists.  Bauer Rogelstad had a team high 8 rebounds and Aguilar grabbed 4 boards. Fergus Falls made 17-of-20 free throws and buried ten 3-point field goals with six players connecting from beyond the arc.

Apollo was led by Deng Diew with 25 points and Chang Hoth with a dozen.

Fergus Falls will face Lower Brule at 9:30am Saturday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
