On Friday night the Underwood Rockets paid a visit to Ortonville where a good Trojans team sent them home with a 70-31 defeat. Ortonville held a 37-12 halftime advantage over the Rockets.

"Ortonville came out very strong and we couldn't keep up with the pace from the beginning,” said Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “They put a lot of pressure on us and that resulted in too many turnovers and a lot of fast break points.  We need to continue to work on limiting our turnovers and taking care of the ball."

Leaders for Underwood were Canaan Kugler and Daxton Olson with 8 points each.

Tyson Powell scored 21 points to lead Ortonville. He was joined in double figures by Zach Kuechenmeister and DaVonta Edwards with 16 and 14 points, respectively.

Underwood will play Park Christian in Moorhead on Tuesday night and will go to Evansville for a Little Eight Conference game against the Brandon-Evansville Chargers on Thursday.
