Breckenridge was defeated by St.Cloud Cathedral by a score of 60-55 in a boys basketball game played at ‘The Hive’ in Perham on Saturday afternoon. The halftime score was 33-29, St. Cloud Cathedral.

Leading scorers for the Cowboys were Noah Christensen with 23 and Jonah Christensen with 14. Leading rebounders were Noah Christensen with 19, Caden McGough with 4, and Jacob Marsh with 4.

"We had the chance to play against another high quality opponent and unfortunately put ourselves in a hole early in the 2nd half when we were down by double digits,” reported Breckenridge Assistant Coach Derek Grahn. “The guys showed a lot of heart and effort to come back and put ourselves in a position to win but we couldn't quite get over the hump. We will get a few much needed days of practice early next week after a stretch that included four teams that will contend for state tournament spots this season. Our next game will be home against DGF on Thursday and we look forward to another large crowd of green there to support the Cowboys."
