Charger Girls Shoot 57% in Win at Wheaton

The Brandon-Evansville girls basketball team traveled to Wheaton on Friday night where they defeated the Warriors by the score of 61-54. The Chargers shot 57% from the field and made 8-of-16 from beyond the arc.

Haddey Zastrow led three Chargers in double digits with 17 points. Sara Jacobson added 14 and Kerryn Lund finished with 11. Madison Quinn and Mikenna Pattrin each contributed 8 points. Brandon-Evansville made eight 3-pointers in the contest. 

Izzy Schmidt led Wheaton/Herman-Norcross with 13 points. Maycee Tolifson and Ellissa Rinke chipped in with 12 and 11 points, respectively. 

“We had a great first half and shot really well to start the game,” noted B-E Head Coach Sam Lange. “Wheaton did a great job fighting back in the second half. We were able to hold on and hit some clutch free throws at the end.”
