Brennan Amundson scored 21 of his game high 25 points in the first half as the Battle Lake boys basketball team built a 35-13 halftime lead on the way to a 59-45 Little Eight Conference win over Brandon-Evansville on Thursday night in Battle Lake.

B-E was led by Marshall Riedel with 12 points and Eli Anderson with 10 points and 7 rebounds.  Keagan Schiele added 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Brandon-Evansville shot just 34% (13-38) from the field.

"We had too many turnovers again," said Chargers Head Coach Trent Hintermeister.  "Battle Lake came out and shot the ball very well early in the game.  It rattled some of our guys and we lost our composure."

Battle Lake (2-4) will travel to Hancock for a game on Friday night.

Brandon-Evansville (5-4) will host Hancock in their next game on Tuesday night.
