Henning made 51% (30-58) of their shots from the field and 10-of-14 free throws (71%). The Hornets had a 31-25 edge on the boards.
“They are a very gifted and fundamentally sound team,” said Barnesville Assistant Coach Tracy Hinsz. “They jumped out to a 14-0 lead and we fought back to within 10 points at 36-25 with under three minutes to go in the half but they closed the half on an 11-1 run and we couldn’t recover.”
Barnesville shot 45% (19-42) from the floor and hit 14-of-25 (56%) free throw opportunities.
Leaders for Barnesville were Kaden Zenzen and Adam Tonsfeldt with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Tonsfeldt also had 5 assists and 2 steals. Hunter Zenzen (9 points, 9 rebounds), Sam Askegaard (8 points, 2 assists, 3 steals) and Kellen Hinsz (7 points) also contributed.
