The Perham boys basketball team hit 49% of their field goal attempts on Saturday afternoon as they handed the Fergus Falls Otters a 75-65 loss at ‘The Hive’ in Perham.
The third-ranked Yellowjackets placed four players in double digits, led by Josh Jeziorski with 21 points. Finn Diggins made 7-of-8 field goal attempts and finished with 19 points. Jensen Beachy and Charlie Rasmussen added 15 and 14 points, respectively. Jeziorski led the rebounding effort with 9 boards, five of them on the offensive end. Beachy and Diggins distributed 4 assists each and had a pair of steals apiece.
Senior Nic Pearson led Fergus Falls with 23 points, making 7-of-15 three-pointers on the day. As a team the Otters had 11 made three’s on 33 tries. Matthew Johnson contributed 20 points and had a team high 7 rebounds. Fergus Falls shot 42% from the field and made 10-of-13 free throws.
The Otters (4-5) will host Willmar in a Central Lakes Conference game on Friday night.
Perham (7-1) will entertain East Grand Forks on Saturday, January 5.
