Otter Girls Record Eighth Straight Win

Since their opening night loss to Albany the Fergus Falls girls basketball team as won eight straight games.  Their latest win came on Friday night as they defeated Thief River Falls 54-34 in their Holiday Basketball Tournament.  The Otters jumped out to a 15-2 lead, built a 31-13 halftime lead and never trailed on the way to the win.

 

Sam Evavold led the Otters with 15 points and Lily Pearson added a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds).  Sabrina Fronning dished out 7 assists, had 3 steals and grabbed 4 rebounds, Tori Ratz contributed 7 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals, and Ellie Colbeck finished with 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists.  The Otters held a 31-29 edge on the boards.

The Prowlers were led by Alexa Rogalla and Becca Leier with 8 points each.

Fergus Falls won the JV game, 58-37.  Anna Anderson scored a team high 12 points, while Gretchen Davis and Carlie Meis scored 9 apiece.

Fergus Falls will play top-ranked Alexandria on the road on Thursday in a Central Lakes Conference contest.
