The Brandon-Evansville Boys' Basketball team bounced back against a solid PACT Charter team on Saturday night, winning by a score of 67-48 at the Kimball Holiday Tournament.

“We played a much better first half,” said Head Coach Trent Hintermeister of the Chargers. “We came out with energy and focus unlike the other night. Our rebounding, defense, and care of the basketball were very solid tonight. Keagan Schiele (4 points, 6 assists, 4 steals) set the tone early for us. He plays point guard the way it's meant to be played. He took care of the ball for us, distributed, played great defense, and got us into what we needed to do. Tanner Bitzan (13 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists) and Marshall Riedel (19 points, 2 assists, 3 rebounds) played nice games as well. It's important for those three guys to all play well for us. Sam Fuller (14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks) played with more aggression tonight, getting to the rim and scoring the way we know he can. Tony Schaffran and Jesse Perleberg played well in this tournament overall, they played some important minutes for us this weekend.”

Brandon-Evansville shot 40% (27-66) from the field. They pulled down 47 rebounds in the game and took good care of the ball with only 8 turnovers.

The Chargers are 4-2 and will play Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Tuesday night in Graceville before closing out their pre-Christmas schedule with a home game against Ortonville on Thursday.
