Perham Shoots Over 60% in Win Over Breckenridge

Breckenridge was defeated by Perham by a score of 82-73 in a Heart O’ Lakes Conference boys basketball game on Friday night in Perham. Perham led 42-33 at the half.

The Yellowjackets were led by Charlie Rasmussen (27 points, 9-12 FG, 8R, 2A), Josh Jeziorski (25 points, 5R), Finn Diggins (13 points, 5-5 FT, 6R, 5A, 2 steals) and Carter Cresap (10 points, 3R, 2 steals). Perham hit 61% (30-49) of their field goals attempts, including 72% (26-36) from two-point range. They also had 20 assisted baskets on the night. Perham was missing standout guard Jenson Beachy who is playing in the High School All-Star football game at US Bank Stadium on Saturday.

Leading scorers for the Cowboys were Noah Christensen with 32, Hunter Feigum with 14, and Jacob Marsh with 11. Leading rebounders were Christensen with 9 and Caden McGough with 4. Christensen also added 4 assists. The Cowboys shot 47.6% (30-63) from the field and made only 3-of-17 (17.6%) shots from behind the arc.

"We had the opportunity to play in a great atmosphere for a game in December,” stated Breckenridge Assistant Coach Derek Grahn. “We look forward to getting back to work on Monday."
