Katherine Mastey, senior outside hitter from Belgrade high school, has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball for the Minnesota State Community and Technical College Spartans.

Katherine has 3 years of varsity volleyball experience along with being named All-Conference Honorable Mention and All Area Team both her junior and senior years. In addition to being the captain of her team this year she has also been on the Central MN Conference All-Academic team the last 3 years and was also the recipient of the All-State Academic Award her senior year.

“Katherine is such a talented volleyball player and I know she is going to do great things at M State,” said head volleyball coach Abby Crowser. “She is such a smart hitter and so versatile with her ball control. She can crank the ball down and then the next minute place the ball perfectly in an area of the court that is completely open. I’m so excited that she has chosen M State to continue on in both her academic and athletic endeavors and can’t wait to see what all she is going to accomplish.”

Katherine is the daughter of Mike and Lisa Mastey of Belgrade, MN
