Brandon-Evansville paid a visit to Fergus Falls on Tuesday night for a Little Eight Conference girls basketball game with the Comets. The Chargers posted a 50-34 win.

“We did not come ready to play and started off really slow,” said B-E Head Coach Sam Lange. “Hillcrest played really well and made some shots to put us in a hole early. We were able to fight back and go into halftime down one point. In the second half we were able to take advantage of our size and score some points in the paint.”

The Chargers were led by 15 points from Haddey Zastrow and 12 point from Mikenna Pattrin

Hillcrest was led by Mackenzie Foss (17 points, 6 rebounds), Olivia Foss (6 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals), Audra Ewan (6 points, 4 rebounds) and Anna Rasmussen (2 points, 8 rebounds).

“We were plagued by poor decisions on offense that led to far too many turnovers,” commented Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark. “I thought the girls played their best defensive game this year. Give credit to B/E they knocked down their shots down the stretch.”
