Sydney Hovland led M State with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Taylin Schleicher contributed a double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds), and Olivia Winfrey added 12 points and 5 assists. Kassandra Algarate came through with 6 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals, while Alexa Mortenson finished with 7 boards, 4 assists and 2 steals. M State shot 46.2% (24-52) from the field and made 15-of-18 (83.3%) free throws on the day. The Spartans won the battle of the boards 43-31. 

Makenzey Goerdt led Mesabi Range with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Shawna Wiese scored 13 points, Haley Hansen had 7 points and 8 rebounds, and Hailey Aho contributed 5 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Mesabi shot just 28.6% (18-63), making only 3-of-23 (13%) treys. 

The lady Spartans are now 3-4. They will travel to Thief River Falls to face Northland Community College on Friday night and then travel to Grand Rapids for a Saturday afternoon contest against Itasca Community College.
