“These kids have great attitudes and are hard workers,” said Haire. “This team will be very young.” 

Seniors Zach Haire (126#), Austin Snobl (152#), Tanner Differding (195#) and Dylan Pearson (132#) will serve as team captains. Differding placed third at 195 pounds in the Section tournament last year. 

They will be joined by junior Isaac Thoeness (182#), sophomores Daniel Erlandson (220#) and Bryant Hasse (160#), freshmen Wyatt Differding (138#) and Aidan Ruddy (132#), and eighth-grader Zane Mikkelson (120#) as returning letter winners. As a freshman last year Erlandson claimed third place in the Section tournament at 220 pounds. 

Seventh-graders Grant Davis (113#) and Zander Gregor (120#) appear ready to make varsity mat appearances for the Cowboys. 

Coach Haire says West Central Area, Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale/Parkers Prairie, and New York Mills are the top teams in Section 6A.
