The Brandon-Evansville volleyball team served 97.3% in their Tuesday night match with Ashby, recording a 3-0 (25-6, 25-12, 25-18) win over the Arrows.

Sara Jacobson (5 aces), Brittany Korkowski, Korrie Randt (1 ace), Megan Lauthen (1 ace) and Madison Quinn (7 aces) all served 100% for the night. Bailey Schaefer served 93.3% and delivered six aces.

Kill leaders were Schaefer with 9 and Mikenna Pattrin with 8. Pattrin added 3 blocks and Quinn had two blocks.

Jacobson and Kailee Klimek finished with 5 and 4 digs, respectively, while Quinn distributed 22 set assists.

“Visiting Ashby is always fun,” commented B-E Head Coach Kelly Olson.  “I think there is a bit of a rivalry being as close as we are.  They always have such a good crowd and their players always play hard.  Tonight we wanted to make sure heading into playoffs next week we focus on a number of things.  Serving tough, defense, and making the next ball better.  We did a good job doing those things during the match.  We really were on point in the first set.  We passed well and took advantage of free balls sent to us. That continued into set two and we finished set two off with a mixture of line ups.  It is always great to mix kids in because you never know who we are going to need to step in a fill a role.  Set three Ashby came out strong and we just hung with them until we found our footing.  Tough serving really helped out tonight with 20 aces, but it also set up our offense out of transition. The match was our last regular season match and last conference match.  The team is really proud to go 10-0 in conference play.  We now get to wait for seedings to be released on October 20.”
