The Rothsay Tigers hosted Mahnomen/Waubun on Monday night and lost a competitive five set match, 22-2, 25-10, 25-15, 14-25, 5-15.

"Tonight we played hard, just couldn't finish," stated Rothsay Head Coach Kim Braaten.  "I felt that we were afraid to be our best.  When we play down and not to our full potential games spiral out of our hands.  We did have some high points on the night.  One of our captains, Emily Christ, had a great night and was an awesome leader on the court.  She led our team with 12 kills, but also led it with her ability to bounced back when situations weren't in our favor.  Summer Wigdahl did an amazing job in the back row.  She was all over the place and giving it her all.  Grace Lider (6 kills, 9 digs, 1 ace, 1 block) always has an amazing effort on our court as well."

Christ added 12 digs, 1 ace serve and a block to her 12 kills.  Jayna Gronewoldcontributed 8 kills, 10 digs, 1 ace and 2 assists, Rachel Brenden had 7 kills, 3 digs, 2 aces and 2 blocks, and Jenna Fabre finished with 20 set assists, 3 kills and 7 aces.

The Tigers will play Hillcrest on Tuesday night to end their regular season schedule.
