Chargers Run for 404 Yards in Shutout Win of Park Christian

Brandon-Evansville racked up 408 yards, 404 of it coming on the ground, as they cruised to a 50-0 shutout win over Park Christian School on Friday night in Brandon.

"Tonight we came with the fire we need to be successful,” said Head Coach Tim Pattrin of the Chargers.  “The line came off the ball and hit, the backs ran hard and fought through tackles, and the defense got after it.  Great all around team win."

Marshall Riedel scored the first two touchdowns on runs of 10 and 47 yards in the first quarter. He also ran in the two point conversion following the first TD and Tanner Bitzan scored after the second TD as B-E took a 16-0 first quarter lead.

In the second quarter, Keagan Schiele hooked up with Sam Fuller on a four yard touchdown pass to make it 22-0, Chargers. With 1:30 left in the half B-E struck again on a 29 yard run by Bitzan to finish the half with a 28-0 lead on the board.

The third quarter saw Schiele run for a 69 yard TD and Riedel scoring the two point conversion just 45 seconds into the second half. Riedel scored the final two touchdowns of the night, the first on a 45 yard run and the second on a 6 yard run. Cade Carlson ran in for the two point conversion following the final TD and the Chargers won the game, 50-0.

Riedel led the Chargers with 167 rushing yards on eleven carries and Schiele finished with 141 yards on just 3 attempts. Mike Cochran led the team with 7 tackles, while Bitzan and Fuller had 6.5 tackles apiece.

Brandon-Evansville (3-4) will host Hancock at 7:00pm Wednesday in their regular season finale.
