The Ottertail Central Bulldogs built a 35-0 lead after one quarter and scored on their first eight possessions of the game on Friday night as they improved to 7-0 on the season with a 56-6 trouncing of United North Central in Henning.

The Bulldogs set the tone early when Nick VanErp broke free for a 55 yard touchdown run on the fourth play of the night just 1:15 into the contest.  Isaac Fisher intercepted a pass on the Warriors initial possession and OTC struck for the second TD of the night on the very first play when VanErp hit Brennan Amundson over the middle with a 52 yard touchdown pass.  VanErp then delivered a two point conversion pass to Austin Wensauer to give the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead with 9:05 to play in the opening quarter.  Sam Fisher scored on a 10 yard pass from VanErp with 5:20 left in the quarter and then connected with Max Naddy for the two point play, making the score 22-0.  A Blake Wallevand interception led to an Isaac Fisher 27 yard run for the next score and Nick Miller's extra point kick pushed the lead to 29-0 with 3:32 to play.  Following a United North Central punt the Bulldogs scored on a 69 yard pass play from VanErp to Sam Fisher and OTC led 35-0 after one.

The Warriors ate up half of the second quarter with a fourteen play drive that resulted in their only touchdown of the night, a seven yard run by quarterback Brandon Miller.  OTC got the TD back with a four play, 70 yard drive which was culminated by a 49 yard run by Blave Wallevand.  After Nick VanErp scored the two point conversion OTC led 43-6.  A fumble on the ensuing kickoff gave OTC the ball at the UNC 38 yard line.  Isaac Fisher scored on a 25 yard run to increase the lead to 49-6.  On their final possession of the half Blake Wallevand hauled in a 33 yard pass from VanErp and Miller added the PAT kick to make the score 56-6.  That proved to be the final score as running time was instituted to start the second half and neither team was able to score the rest of the night.

OTC had five interceptions in the game, two by Wallevand and one each for Isaac Fisher, Brady VanErp and Blaine Wallevand.

VanErp completed 9-of-14 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns.  Blake Wallevand caught five passes for 110 yards and a score, while Sam Fisher had two catches for 79 yards.  Isaac Fisher had 61 yards rushing on 3 carries and VanErp ran for 0 yards on 3 attempts.  OTC had 507 yards on the night, 263 rushing and 244 passing.

Ottertail Central will travel to Barrett next Wednesday to face West Central Area/Ashby in their final regular season game.
