The Pelican Rapids boys' soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with Detroit Lakes in overtime Tuesday night at Rotary Soccer Park in DL.

“The wind played a significant factor in the game as it cause the Vikings to play extremely defensive in the first half,” said Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Peter

The Vikings still outshot the Lakers 3-1 in the first half.

In the second half the Vikings were able to open up their attack a bit more but shots were even at 7 apiece. Neither team could find the combination to crack the other team's defense.

The Vikings' record is now 6-3-2 and they prepare to face the East Grand Forks Green Wave on Thursday in their final Conference game of the season.
