Tuesday night Barnesville had a non-conference volleyball match with Park Rapids which the Panthers won in 3 sets, 25-20, 25-11, 25-23.

“They are a very talented, tough attacking team,” commented Barnesville Head Coach Megan Askegaard. “They came at us attacking from behind the serving line and on the net. We struggled passing on serve receive tonight as they gave us some tough first balls. They put up a big block and we really struggled staying in system and finding out hitters on the net. They were too much for us from the start of the matches tonight and we found ourselves always battling from behind. We made an awesome run in set 3, however it was just a little late. I’m proud of the girls for always bouncing back and fighting for the win, they were just too much for us tonight.”

Barnesville was led by Emily Condon (13 digs, 14/16 serving, 1 ace, 4 kills), Elora Passa (9 kills, 6 set assists, 8 digs), Claire Meyer (5 kills, 3 blocks, 6/6 serving), Kimberly Maesse (12/12 serving, 1 ace, 10 set assists), Kya Anderson(10/11 serving, 17 digs) and Samantha Passa (7 digs).
