Beachy Tosses Four TD Passes as Perham Wins on Hall of Fame Night

The Perham Yellowjackets defeated East Grand Forks 30-7 on Hall of Fame Night at Ten Meinhover Field in Perham on Friday night. The win improves the Yellowjackets to 4-2 on the season. 

Colton Hackel got Perham on the scoreboard with 5:04 left in the first quarter when he hauled in a 58 yard pass from Jenson Beachy. Beachy then scored the two point conversion to give the home team an 8-0 lead. With 1:47 left in the quarter Luke Vonesh caught a 17 yard pass from Carter Beck and Ben Kern kicked the extra point, bringing the Green Wave to within a point at 8-7. 

In the second quarter, Beachy connected with Ty Moser on a 16 yard TD pass and Moser carried in the two point conversion to make the score 16-7. Perham extended their lead to 22-7 with just 42 seconds left in the half when Josh Jeziorski was on the receiving end of a four yard pass from Beachy. 

The final touchdown of the night came with 9:12 left in the fourth quarter. Beach tossed his fourth TD pass of the game, hitting Zack Peterson for a 54 yard score. Moser scored the two point conversion. 

Perham had 529 yards of offense with 301 yards passing and 228 yards rushing. Beachy was 18-for-25 in the game. He also led the Perham rushing attack with 83 yards on 16 carries. Peterson had 67 rushing yards on seven attempts. Hackel caught eight passes for 138 yards and Peterson finished with 4 catches for 85 yards. Defensively, Max Tostenson and Ty Moser each had 10 tackles and Dylan Fudgewas in on nine tackles. Dawson Kellog recovered a fumble. 

Perham will host D-G-F next Friday.
