The Brandon-Evansville volleyball team paid a visit to Parkers Prairie on Thursday night for a Little Eight Conference contest. The Chargers returned home with a 3-1 (25-22, 25-11, 22-25, 25-17) victory.

“Tonight we came into Parkers needing to get a win to keep pace in the conference race,” said B-E Head Coach Kelly Olson.  “Our third road game of the week we knew was going to be a good test.  Parkers is tall and athletic, and have some kids that can put the ball down.  We had to be able to side them out and we did a nice job of that most of the night.  This wasn't our best played match of the year but we are seeing some areas that have shown a steady improvement.  Defensively, I think we are getting better, and being able to make a good play out of a not so perfect situation has also improved.  We served tough and besides that third set where we just couldn't get out of one rotation, we were pretty solid in our side out game.  We are starting to see at times what we can do if we just keep working to get better.  Out bench was the loudest group again tonight and on the road especially that is so important.  Overall, a good win again stiff competition.”

Leaders for the Chargers were Madison Quinn (34 set assists, 6 blocks, 20/21 serving, 2 aces), Bailey Schaefer (21 kills, 15/17 serving, 8 aces), Mikenna Pattrin (9 kills, 1 block), Haddey Zastrow (3 kills, 2 blocks), Sara Jacobson (5 digs, 15/17 serving, 2 aces), Brittany Korkowski (4 digs, 4 kills, 10/11 serving, 2 aces), Kailee Klimek (15/15 serving) and Korrie Randt (14/14 serving, 2 aces).

The Chargers will host Battle Lake next Tuesday in another conference match.
