The Fergus Falls Otters fell behind 14-0 at halftime on Friday night in East Grand Forks, but the Otters came storming back with 20 unanswered points in the second half to take a 20-14 win over the Green Wave, spoiling their homecoming.

Carter Beck was responsible for a pair of first half touchdowns for East Grand Forks, the first on a 2 yard run in the first quarter and the second on a 22 yard pass to Ethan Trebil in the second quarter.  Both extra point kicks were good.

Ethan Olson delivered three touchdown passes to lead the comeback.  His first was a 19 yard toss to Nic Pearson in the third quarter.  The next two were to Robert Sewell, a 17 yard pass in the third and a 28 yard aerial in the fourth.  Sewell ran the ball into the end zone for a two-point conversion following his first TD reception, the only successful extra point try by the Otters.

Olson completed 17-of-29 passes for 241 yards and Pearson had a huge game, catching 10 passes for 116 yards, making 7 solo tackles and 3 assisted tackles, and recovering a fumble.  Sewell finished with 3 catches for 53 yards.  Jarrett Huushad an interception and Bauer Rogelstad came up with a fumble recovery.

"The kids showed a lot of resolve the way they came back with 20 unanswered points in the second half," said Head Coach Steve Olson.  "It feels good to get that first win under our belt."

The Otters will host Perham in their homecoming game next Friday at 6:00pm at the Otter Stadium Field.
