The Brandon-Evansville football team had a nine game winning streak and advanced all the way to the Section 4 9-Man title game in 2017, finishing with a 9-2 record. Head Coach Tim Pattrin begins his ninth year at the helm.

Gone are All-State player James Strese, All-State Honorable Mention selection Taylor Bitzan and Jake Hintermeister who is headed to Gustavus Adolphus to play college football.

Senior Chris Vinson (OL/DL) and juniors Tanner Bitzan (OE/LB) and Keagan Schiele (QB/DB) are returning starters for the Chargers.

Juniors Marshall Riedel (RB/DB), Sam Fuller (OE/LB), Tony Schaffran (WR/DB), Trent Landowski (FB/DL) and Andrew Johnson (OL/DL) are all slated for starting positions in 2018.

“We will be young so we will go through some growing pains as the season goes on,” said Coach Pattrin. “We have some size and speed coming back but building depth will be key to the season.”

Pattrin, who is assisted by Dan Johnson, Dan Olson, Kellen Traphagen and Dick Osterman, sees Verndale, Wheaton and Underwood as teams to beat in the West District South Division and Section 4 9-Man.
