Amy Linn begins her third year as Head Coach of the West Central Area volleyball team with a team that finished 12-11 a year ago.  With only three letter winners returning the Knights will be looking for players to step up and perform at the varsity level this fall.

Brianna Kreft, Demara Bumgardner, Hannah Anderson, Gabbi Beuckens, Amanda Drechsel, Charlette Kohman and Maddie Woodle all graduated, leaving some holes to fill in the lineup.

"We had a strong group of seniors last year," acknowledged Coach Linn.  "We were very competitive in every match and improved on our prior year record.

Morgan Woodle (Outside Hitter), Kaitlyn Sanstead (Libero) and Hailey Bennett (Setter) return from that team.

Key newcomers are Kaleigh Anderson (Outside Hitter), Savannah Swenson (Setter) and Victoria Valleramos (Defensive Specialist).  Anderson and Swenson both had some varsity experience a year ago.

"We are a fairly young team, however, we have a lot of heart and determination," noted Linn.  I am hoping where we lack in experience we will overcome with hard work and hustle."

Linn sees Wheaton/Herman-Norcross and Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley as top teams in Section 6A.

Naomi Moerke (JV), Melissa Foslein and April Richards (Junior High) round out the coaching staff.
