The Fergus Falls girls soccer team hosted Detroit Lakes on Saturday and played to a 2-2 tie with the Lakers at the Otter Stadium Field.

DL took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half, however, the Otters pulled even with ten minutes left in the half when Ellie Anderson played the ball up to Piper Andrews and she tucked it in the right corner of the net.

In the second half, DL once again took the lead and Fergus Falls was forced to battle back.  This time the conrer kick by Mady Eklund was perfectly placed and Jadyn McKeever blasted a header into the back of the net.

Both teams had scoring chances toward the end of regulation and into the overtime but each goaltender played well.

"The coaching staff believes this is the most complete game we have played this year," said Head Coach Ben Jurgens.  "We had some really nice looks today and converted on a wondeful corner kick.  The girls should be proud of their work they put onto the field today."
