The Pelican Rapids girls’ basketball team cruised to a 72-32 victory over Staples-Motley on Tuesday afternoon.  The Viking girls held a commanding 46-15 lead at the half.  Morgan Korf (26 points, 7 assists, 7 rebounds, 6 steals) led the way with Ari Hovland also reaching double figures in scoring with 11 points, while grabbing 6 rebounds.  Malia Tweeton had a team high 11 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.  Kamryn Kirkwood finished with 4 assists and Carlie Hovland added 9 points.

Pelican Rapids (11-8) will face Albany on Saturday at 2:45pm as part of the Breakdown Winter Classic in Alexandria.
