Cassie Wellman took home a medal Saturday with her 6th place finish (18:41.8) at the Class AA State Girls Cross Country Meet.  “She ran an outstanding time, mixing it up with the lead pack throughout the race,” noted Fergus Falls Head Coach Niki Welde.  “She also made the All-State Cross Country Team.”

Carsyn Lill ran 5 seconds off her all-time best to make the top 25 all State Cross Country Team.  “This was her first trip to the State Cross Country meet,” said Welde. “Finishing like she did and racing with the top of the pack like she did, you would have thought she was a veteran at this meet.  This was a great first race experience at state for her.”
