In game one, Perham rallied to tie the game in the top of the seventh inning thanks to a double by Lyam Schumacher, a single by Gavin Griffin and a sacrifice fly by Blaiz Schmidt. In the top of the eighth, the Buzz broke the tie when Bradyn Anderson doubled, scoring the go ahead run. Then, a single by Carsen Zeise followed, scoring Anderson and extending the lead to 5-3.
Griffin (3-4, RBI, SB) and Zeise (3-4, 2B, R) each collected 3 hits, leading a 10-hit attack. Schmidt (1.2IP, 0H, 0R, 2K, 0BB) earned the win with a strong relief effort. Drew Ellingson (5IP, 4H, 3R, 2ER, 6K, 4BB) started the game for the Buzz.
Game two saw Perham take an early 2-0 lead on a two-run first-inning homer by Griffin (2-3, HR, 3RBI, R, BB). Bemidji came back to take a 6-3 lead with a 4-run fifth inning, securing the double header split.
Other hitting leaders for the Buzz were Schmidt (2-4, 2B), Alex Blume (1-3, 2B, SB, BB, 2R), Anderson (1-2, R) and Harry Poole (1-2, RBI). Schmidt (4IP, 4H, 2R, 2ER, 3BB) started on the mound and Blume (2IP, 3H, 4R, 4ER, 3BB, 1K) took the loss in relief.
