"Logan shot an impressive 76 on a tough course," said OTC head coach Mike Hepola. "He had a great eagle on hole 2 to bounce back from a bogey on 1. Couldn't get a birdie putt to drop but showed great patience and battled to a solid finish. He heads into Day 2 trailing the leader by 4 strokes and hoping to continue to give himself chances at birdies and see where he can finish."
Underwood senior Jaxon Swonger is in a tie for tenth place after recording an opening round score of 77. Frazee freshman Ben Reierson shot an 85 and is tied for 44th place.
