Levi King led the offense with a solo home run in the sixth and a sacrifice fly, driving in two runs. Hunter Powers added two hits for the Otters. Isaiah Holmes pitched six innings, allowing just four earned runs on seven hits and issuing only two walks. However, seven Otter errors and timely Flyers hitting put the game out of reach.
Coach Pete Gaustad commented on the game: “We continue to see a lot of really good things, especially from our pitchers. Defensively, you can’t give teams free baserunners and extra outs each inning, as that usually ends up costing you one way or another. When we play clean defensively, the outcome has been in our favor.”
The Otters will host Minnewaska Area on Friday.
