Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley cranked out 24 hits and scored 39 runs in a double header sweep of Brandon-Evansville in Little Eight Conference softball action on Tuesday. CGB won 27-0 in the opener and 12-2 in the nightcap, holding the Chargers to a combined total of 7 hits. Jordan Wright (4IP, 5H, 0R, 4K) was the game one winner and Sadie Wright (5IP, 2H, 2R, 1ER, 1BB, 6K) earned the win in the second game.
Hannah Gary (3-3, 2 2B, HR, 5RBI, 5R, 2BB), Macy Anderson (2-4, HR, 5RBI, 3R) and Chloe Cardwell (2-4, 2B, SB, SF, 4RBI, R) led the way at the plate for the Wolverines. Jordan Wright went 2-for-2 with 3 walks and scored 4 times, while Addison Ward was 2-for-5 with a double, 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored.
Tahira Schaffran, Madeline Stich, Ava Santjer, Drea Fernholz and Hallie Richter had the hits for B-E. Schaffran also stole a base.
Leaders for the Wolverines in game two were Jordan Wright (3-3, 2B, RBE, 4R), Cardwell (3-4, RBI, 2R), Anderson (2-4, RBI, R) and Bristol Paulson (1-3, HR, 5RBI, R).
Richter led the Chargers with two hits, two steals and two runs batted in.
