Perham senior Ashton Detloff has been named the Olson Oil Company Athlete of the Week.  Detloff established a pair of records in the Yellowjackets 10-1 win over Staples-Motley on Tuesday, April 22.

In the first game of their double header sweep of the Cardinals, Detloff broke a pitching record that had stool since 1978 as he earned his 21st career win on the mound, surpassing the previous record of 20 which was set by Dan Schroeder, who played for the Yellowjackets from 1975 to 1978.  He pitched 6 innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 run, walking 5 and striking out eight.  At the plate he was 3-for-3 with 3 doubles, a run batted in and a run scored.  He added 3 more hits in the Yellowjackets 11-1 win in the second half of the double header.

Detloff also tied the single game record for doubles in a game with 3 (Charles Abbott 1984) and Chas Melvin (2021).
