In their 62-58 win over Park Christian School on Saturday, March 8, at the ‘Hive’ in Perham, Misegades registered a double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds), dished out 6 assists and came up with 4 steals, advancing the Hornets to the North Sub-Section 6A title game against Ada-Borlup/West, again at the ‘Hive’, on Wednesday, March 12. Against the Cougars, Misegades led the team with 27 points, making 9-of-16 field goal attempts, including 4-of-8 from beyond the 3-point line, and hitting all five of his free throw tries. He also led the team with 5 assists as Henning dispatched the Cougars, 71-69, avenging a loss to Ada-Borup-West in this game a year ago.
The North Sub-Section title qualified the Hornets to compete for the Section 6A championship on Friday, March 14, at Concordia College in Moorhead, where they faced defending champion, West Central Area. The Hornets were dominant in the second half as they posted a 72-51 victory over the Knights. Misegades scored 21 points, making 10-of-11 free throws, distributed a game high 8 assists, pulled down 5 rebounds and claimed 3 steals.
