Ashby High School graduate Jacob Cook just finished up his junior year at Concordia College in Moorhead. Cook was named to the 2025 MIAC All-Conference basketball team. Cook finished third in both scoring (18.7 ppg) and rebounding (8.8 rpg) in the MIAC. Cook was an honorable mention selection in 2024. Cook averaged 16.5 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game in 20 total games this season.
Cook scored a season high 29 points on two occasions and grabbed a season high 15 rebounds in Concordia’s win at St. Olaf. He recorded five double-doubles in league play.
Fellow junior Jackson Loge, a Morris Area High School grad, and senior Rowan Nelson (Melrose) joined Cook on the MIAC All-Conference team. It was the fourth time in program history that Concordia has had 3 players named to the All-Conference team. For Nelson, it was his fourth straight postseason honor in his career.
Cook, Nelson and Loge helped the Cobbers to a tie for fifth place in the final MIAC standings with an 8-8 league record, qualifying for playoffs for the second straight year.
