In the first game of the week, a 49-45 win over Brandon-Evansville on Tuesday, Keop’s line showed her with 17 points, including 11-of-15 from the free throw line, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 deflections, 3 steals and 3 blocked shots.
Koep scored 23 points in a 69-52 victory over Battle Lake on Thursday night, while adding 4 rebounds, 9 deflections, 3 steals and 3 blocks, and then scored a career high 36 points to lead Parkers past Benson 75-41 on Saturday night. She had 23 of her 36 in the first half, including 5 of her 7 3-point baskets. She was 7-for-9 from behind the arc and 14-for-23 overall. In addition, she snagged 6 rebounds, had 3 deflections and a pair of steals.
“Ellie was locked in all night, and it started on the defensive end,” noted head coach Hunter Haggenmiller. “She was a great teammate in the second half as well, as she moved the ball around well to set up her teammates for scoring chances.”
