The Spartan Buddy Basketball Clinic returns to M State this coming weekend with the first of two sessions scheduled for Sunday, January 26 from 1:00 to 2:30pm at the college gym. The program is open to K-5 boys and girls with a limit of 60 kids and featured the M State Men’s and Women’s Basketball team members demonstrating and teaching basketball fundamentals.
Men’s head coach Dave Cresap and assistant Brian Schwantz, along with women’s head coach Jodi Holleman and assistant Abby Oberg are the clinic directors.
In addition to the January 26 session, a second session is scheduled for Sunday, February 2 from 1:00 to 2:30pm.
The entry fee is $25 per participant, payable to Spartan Basketball Buddies and can be mailed to the college at 1414 College Way, Fergus Falls, MN 56537.
Spartan Game Buddy drawings will be held at each session with those selected receiving the opportunity to be in the locker room with the Spartans before a game, run on the court with the team, and be introduced during the spotlight introductions. Participants must be present to be chosen. All participants will receive a Buddy T-Shirt, Basketball, and Free admission to all home basketball games by wearing a Buddy T-Shirt.
Spartan Buddies will perform at halftime of the Men’s Basketball Game on Saturday, February 1 and Saturday, February 8.
