Isabelle Leners (7IP, 5H, 0R, 1BB, 13K) went the distance as Upsala handed Wheaton/Herman-Norcross their first loss of the post season with a 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Warriors will now face Browerville/Eagle Valley in an elimination game in the Section 6A Tournament at 1:00pm Thursday in New York Mills.
Addison Blume, Emily Drewicke, Jordyn Perry, Hadley Berger and Sadie Vipond (2B) each had one hit for Wheaton/Herman-Norcross.
Anna Bright (7IP, 5H, 3R, 1ER, 2BB, 3K) was good on the mound for the Warriors but a first inning error led to a pair of unearned runs and Wheaton/Herman-Norcross couldn’t overcome the early deficit.
