Perham played shutdown man-to-man defense on Friday night as they held Fergus Falls to just 33 points on 30.6% (11-36) shooting, recording a 45-33 victory over the Otters in the first game played in the Otter Fieldhouse since the 2009-2010 season.
Perham had a good shooting night, making 17-of-27 (63%) shots in the game and won the battle of the boards 23-16. The Yellowjackets were led by Micah Thompson with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Soren Anderson made 5-of-7 shots and finished with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Alex Ohm had a team high 6 assists.
Henry Bethel led the Otters with 20 points. Josh Sternberg had 5 points and 4 rebounds. Ryan Hirst also had 4 rebounds for the home team.
Perham (20-5) has their final game of the regular season on Saturday in Pelican Rapids. The Yellowjackets need a win to gain a share of the Heart O’ Lakes Conference title with DGF.
Fergus Falls ends the regular season with a record of 6-20.
