Battle Lake won their fifth straight game on Saturday night, beating Bertha-Hewitt 87-48.  It was the Battlers fifteenth win in their last sixteen games, improving their season record to 21-4 overall and 14-2 in Little Eight Conference play.

Battle Lake featured a balanced attack in the victory, led by double-doubles from Bradyn Roisum (22 points, 10 rebounds), Mason Dalluge (16 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks) and Owen Buehler (15 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists).  Drew Johnson (18 points, 2 assists, 3 steals) and Jack Mekalson (11 points, 4 assists) were also in double figures. Jacob Radermacher secured 9 rebounds.

“Our guys played very well tonight in Bertha given the circumstances of not having a single day of practice this week with 3 games and 2 days of nothing due to weather,” commented Head Coach Brady Cameron of Battle Lake. “We had a few lulls where we got stagnant on offense and quit talking on defense but we came out of them quickly and got back on track.  We were very balanced on offense and rebounded very well as a team.  We had 3 players with double-doubles tonight and all 5 starters were in double figures again.  We limited our turnovers and didn’t allow them to get to the offensive glass.  We did struggle shooting the 3 tonight and from the FT line but we were able to finish well in the paint which helped us.  We finish the regular season against LPA on Tuesday at home as we celebrates our seniors.”

Battle Lake will end their regular season with a home game against Lake Park-Audubon on Tuesday night.

Bertha-Hewitt (9-14, 6-8 PRC) will host Upsala on Tuesday night and will play at Parkers Prairie on Thursday.
