The Alexandria Cardinals went on a 27-6 run in the first half to take a comfortable 43-20 halftime lead over the Fergus Falls girls’ basketball team on Tuesday night. The lady Cards capitalized on 21 first half turnovers by the Otters to build their advantage. They increased their lead to 33 points in the second half and went on to post a 72-52 win.
Hadley Thul led the way with 22 points for Alexandria. Chloe Scholl had 14 and Macee Linow finished with 11.
Brynn Sternberg and Cyntreya Lockett led the Otters with 13 points each.
Alexandria (21-4, 13-0 CLC) has now won six in a row and 17 of their last 18.
Fergus Falls (6-18, 3-10 CLC) is scheduled to go to Bemidji on Thursday night.
