The Perham boys’ basketball team held DGF to 25 points in each half and went on to defeat the Rebels by the score of 72-50. The Yellowjackets led by 6 at the half, 31-25, and then put 41 points on the board in the second half. Perham had another great shooting night, hitting 59.6% (31-52) of their field goal attempts.
Micah Thompson made 11-of-17 shots and led the Yellowjackets with 25 points. He also had 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Soren Anderson contributed 16 points, making 6-of-9 shots. He secured 6 rebounds and dished out 3 assists. Alex Ohm (10 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals) had a solid all-around floor game.
Owen Leach poured in 27 points to lead the Rebels. Drew Sheeley and Grant Anderson each scored 7 points.
Perham (17-4, 8-1 HOL) avenged their only Conference loss with the victory. They will host Breckenridge on Tuesday and Hawley on Friday in a pair of HOL contests.
DGF (17-6, 10-1 HOL) will host Hawley on Tuesday and play at Wadena-Deer Creek on Friday.
