CGB Girls Knock Off Brandon-Evansville 64-49

Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley took a 33-17 halftime lead against Brandon-Evansville on Monday night and went on to post a 64-49 win over the Chargers.

Leaders for the Wolverines were Jessica Moberg with 21 points and Grace Cardwell and Abygail Sigler with 10 each.  Moberg was 10-of-14 from the free throw line to lead CGB.

Kylee Dingwall led Brandon-Evansville with 25 points, including four 3-pointers and 7-of-8 from the free throw line.  Haddy Baune was also in double figures with 11 points, all of them coming in the second half.

“Girls battled tonight,” commented Head Coach Stephen Schreiber of B-E.  “Couldn’t get sots to fall in the first half and ran out of legs in the second half.  Love the effort, though.”

Brandon-Evansville (5-11) will host Battle Lake on Tuesday and Rothsay on Thursday in a pair of Little Eight Conference games.

CGB (7-7) will host Ashby on Friday night.
