Henning doubled up Pillager in the first half, building a 52-26 halftime advantage. The Hornets went on to post an 83-46 win over the Huskies, shooting 46% (31-67) on the night and dishing out 20 assists on the 31 made baskets. The Hornets were also perfect on 14 free throw opportunities.
Leaders for Henning were Kale Misegades (28 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 7 steals), Mason Hammer (21 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists), Tyson Misegades (16 points, 4 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals) and Carter Dilly (8 points, 3 blocked shots). Lane Dilly pulled in a team high 10 rebounds and also had 6 assists.
Pillager was led by Christian Hooge with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Elijah Miller had 9 points and 7 boards, Gabriel Parrish finished with 8 points and 4 rebounds, and Parker Schaefer had 7 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocked shots. The Huskies hit just 36% (17-46) of their shots from the field.
Henning (15-1) remains unbeaten in Park Region Conference play. They will travel to face Long Prairie-Grey Eagle in a non-conference game on Monday.
Pillager (5-9) has a road game against Hinkley-Finlayson on Tuesday night.
