The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball Team defeated the Rothsay Tigers 66-43 on Friday night in a Little Eight Conference boys’ basketball contest.  Ashby held a 32-19 lead at the halftime break.

Four Arrows reached double figures in scoring.  Brodie Ecker and Easton Nelson tied for game high scorer honors with 14 points apiece.  Jake Norby netted 11 of his 13 total points in the second half.  Kellen Dahlen added 11 points and grabbed 10 of the Arrows 30 overall total rebounds.  The Arrows shot 50% (27/54) from the field.

“The team played well on both ends of the court,” said Ashby Head Coach John Holsten. “The ball didn't stick on offense.  That was an important factor toward the excellent shooting percentage.  Active feet and hands were vital to a good defensive effort.”

Ashby improves its overall season record to 5-8 and 4-6 in the Little Eight Conference.  The Arrows travel to Hillcrest next Tuesday evening.

Rothsay has a Little Eight Conference home game with Underwood on Tuesday.

No Rothsay information was reported.
