Henning Boys Improve to 12-1 with Win Over Pillager

The Henning boys’ basketball team built a 49-16 halftime lead over the Pillager Huskies on Tuesday night and went on to post an 81-36 win.

“Great all around team win at Pillager tonight,” commented Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “Our guys came ready to play. We brought good energy on the defensive end and shared the ball well offensively. Our JV team also picked up a nice win.” 

Mason Hammer (22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, 2 assists), Tyson Misegades (19 points, 7 assists), Kale Misegades (16 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals) and Lane Dilly (10 points, 5-6 FG, 7 rebounds, 4 steals) were the leaders for the Hornets.

Henning shot 51% (32-62) from the floor and 36% (8-22) on 3’s.

Pillager was led by Christian Hooge and Parker Schaefer with 12 points each.  Hooge completed a double-double with 13 rebounds and Schaefer added 8 rebounds and 3 assists.

Henning (12-1) will host Bertha-Hewitt on Thursday.

Pillager (3-7) has road games at Menahga on Thursday and at Proctor on Friday.
